fat sculpting face lift

Dr. Victor is a crafty artisan when it comes to sculpting beautiful faces and nowhere is that more apparent than with the Fat Sculpting Face Lift, also known as fat transfer or fat grafting. This procedure is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves not only restoring lost volume in your face and hands, but also sculpting the facial structure to enhance your cheek bones, jaw lines and/or chin depending on where you may have lost volume over time.

The patient’s own fat is taken from the abdomen, thighs or other areas, purified so that only the fat cells are grafted, and artfully placed in the hollows of the cheeks and/or temples, lines and wrinkles, and acne scars to create a smooth and more youthful surface.  The regenerative effects of the stem cells naturally occurring in the fat also improve the tightness, tone and texture of the skin.

This unique procedure is also effective in creating more volume in the face where, over time, you may have lost volume either in fat and/or bone. Dr. Victor’s sculpting techniques are exceptional and the results are a natural, more youthful appearance. His patients look and feel more rested and rejuvenated and their skin is glowing.

Unlike fillers and other volume-enhancing treatments, the fat grafts used in fat sculpting are taken from the your own body, and as a result cannot cause an allergic reaction. The fat is naturally accepted by the body. Autologous fat sculpting may also last longer than most types synthetic materials.

Fat Grafting Procedure

During the fat sculpting procedure, fat is harvested from the donor area by inserting a cannula and suctioning out the fat, similar to liposuction. This is done under local anesthesia to minimize any potential discomfort. The harvested fat is then purified so that only the fat cells are grafted. Once your fat is ready to be placed, it is injected into the targeted area through a cannula until the desired appearance is achieved.

This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis at Dr. Victor’s office in a procedure room. Because of the different aspects involved, treatment time can vary significantly depending on each patient’s individual procedure.

Results and Recovery

Patients may experience mild swelling and bruising after the fat sculpting procedure, which can be minimized by icing the area. Fat sculpting can sometimes last longer than fillers and other volumizing treatments, and are considered safe for most patients since no foreign material is being injected into the body.
